Phthalocyanine green is made through the chemical reaction of the copper phthalocyanine and the halogenating agent (for example chlorine, ozone). Among the many preparation methods, the most famous method for industrial practices is the aluminum chloride-sodium chloride mixing fusing method. It started during the 1960-1970 period, latter finds popular uses in making of the phthalocyanine green crude and this method is still widely applied in pigment idustry tody .
Through this method, the high grade phthalocyanine green crude is made. Furhter going through pigment processing and the high grade finished products of phthalocyanine green are produced.
The copper phthalocyanine crude can be roughly made into phthalocyanine blue products of various crystal types through the processing of acid treatment or mechanical gringo The phthalocyanine blue pigments have two kind of main crystallization shapes: One kind is called alpha(a) with reddish shade, another kind is called beta(Beta) with greenish shade.
